We are really excited to announce a new charity we are working with, ‘Γνωρίζω Αγαπάω Φροντίζω’ or GAF (translates to I know I love I care).
GAF Helps Greek Strays is a non-profit registered charity that works tirelessly and selflessly to rescue, help, and save Greek dogs and cats who have been abandoned or cruelly treated. They are based in the Ermioni region of the Peloponnese in Greece
GAF defines themselves as:
Loving: We provide fostering and find families for stray animals that are abandoned.
Caring: We vaccinate and sterilize strays living on the street.
Protecting: We inform people, nurse animals in need, watch over the general situation of the animals living in our area
Each animal that is rescued by GAF will be fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, spayed/neutered, fed, and at times boarded, at a minimum.
Most dogs are adopted by kind people all over the world and many of them find their forever home in the UK.
Two of our dear friends adopted 5(!) GAF rescue dogs and it is amazing to see these dogs flourish after having such a bad start and thanks to GAF, Danny, Suzie, Bazil, Tilly and Minni Mou are now living their best life in the Berkshire countryside.
It goes without saying, animal rescue demands resources, not only in time and energy but in money as well.als. GAF rely heavily on the help of donations alongside the kindness and hard work of volunteers and we decided to give them a hand raising hopefully lots of much needed funds.
We created two ceramic GAF dog hanging decorations, one in blue /white, one multi colour, available at our web shop
These decorative doggies are an excellent gift for a loved one, a collector, a dog parent – maybe even for (dare we say it…) Christmas? –, all whilst raising money for a fantastic cause.
£5.00 from every dog decoration sold will be donated to GAF
