The set you see here is a present for husband and wife 70th birthday. Our customer wanted a ‘fond memories’ theme for her brother and sister in law and the design had to include (brace yourself) : fish, boat (Fleming 55), plane ( Piper Cherokee), Guernsey, childhood nursery rhyme, church choir, cottage in France, tennis, African elephant, names of children and grand children and a Triumph TR6.
We used maritime signal flags to put the ‘Happy Birthday’ text on.
It was a huge honour for us to be invited when the bowl, wine cooler and plates were presented to the birthday boy and girl and we were delighted to witness the happiness and appreciation of this gift. There even were a few tears……….
